Maureen Carrigan, LSW

Hello. My name is Maureen, and I’m an Associate Mental Health Therapist. I believe therapy’s most important mission is to help you make peace with your life and ultimately become a more authentic version of yourself. Every client is different, but we begin by building a trusted relationship. We all have complex identities and grow up influenced by different systems. Because of that, therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I will make time to listen so that you feel seen and understood. We will collaborate on a plan that will help you see and feel progress. My areas of clinical experience include: anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, emotional regulation, relationships, co-dependency, and building self-worth.

I use a mix of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, client-centered Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and mindfulness practices with a trauma-informed lens.

I received my masters at the University of Denver in social work with a mental health and trauma informed emphasis. Previously I worked in both in and outpatient addiction treatment programs as well as other human service settings. I work with adults 18+ both in person and via telehealth. If any of this resonates, please give me a call. I offer a free 15-30 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit.

I accept HSA/HRA/FSA, out-of-network and in-network insurance coverage with Optum/United/UMR, Anthem/BCBS, Aetna, and Cigna. I also accept private-pay and offer sliding scale for those that qualify. Please reach out to our office if you have any questions about session payment.
